UNIVERSAL FREE SCHOOL MEALS

If your child is in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 they are entitled to Universal Infant Free School Meals.

Please note that although the meals are free, the school has to fund the difference between the cost of the meal £3.09 (Sep 24) and what funding we receive (£2.58 per meal), this adds up to 51p per child per meal, so if your child doesn't require a hot meal, please do not order one unnecessarily.

FREE SCHOOL MEALS - Is my child eligible?

Free school meals are available from all maintained schools and academies in West Sussex if you receive any of these benefits:

Universal Credit with an annual net earned income of no more than £7,400
Income Support
Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
Support under Part 6 of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
The guarantee element of Pension Credit
Working Tax Credit run-on (paid for the four weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit)
Child Tax Credit (with no Working Tax Credit) with an annual income of no more than £16,190

The current meal price is £2.97 (£3.09 from September 2024)

How to order: Log on at www.parentpay.com to choose and book your meals. Orders need to be placed by midnight Thursday, ten days ahead of the week required. For example, meals for the week starting Monday 12th would have an order deadline of Thursday 1st.

You will have received an activation letter and temporary password to set up your ParentPay account. If you need this resent, please contact your school office.
