Bolney CEP School has been rated "good" by Ofsted
Over two days in March, the school undertook a Section 5 graded Ofsted inspection, the first since 2019. Ofsted reports no longer give a single headline grade for a school and instead, schools currently receive a rating in: the quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development and leadership and management and the early years provision for our Reception children. These are each based on a scale of: inadequate, requires improvements, good and outstanding.
All areas at Bolney CEP school were rated as ‘Good’.
The positive outcome of this Ofsted inspection are a testament to the dedication of the staff and governors, the support of our families and the community and of course to the hard work and fantastic attitudes of all of our pupils.
Some of the highlights from the report include:
This is a happy welcoming school. The school is calm and harmonious.
The school has high expectations for pupils’ academic achievement.
Teachers have strong subject knowledge.
Staff have high expectations of pupils’ behaviour and pupils behave well.
The school has designed an ambitious curriculum where pupils experience a curriculum beyond the academic that broadens pupils’ life experiences
The school identifies the additional needs of pupils with SEND well.
